traumatiques.

Hypnosis paving your path to happiness and spirituality
In their journey of life, most people are
looking for “happiness”. What is real happiness? Many people are looking for
pleasure, satisfaction, fun and joy with the risk of habituation and the never
ending need of new or more challenging experiences.
It’s worthwhile to analyze the concept of
“authentic happiness” where positive emotions, engagement, meaning and
relationships are building blocks of happiness.
In Seligman’s happiness formula we read S+C+V, set point and
circumstances being less malleable. V or Variables encompass positive emotions,
hope, motivation, giving meaning. Hypnosis is an efficient companion to work on
these variables in a creative way. With hypnosis emotions about the past,
present and future can be released, reframed, reinforced or changed. You can
come in contact with some deeper levels of values, with your real self, and find
some spiritual connection. You can focus on positive aspects of your past or
current life, and these positive emotions are resources for a broaden-and-build
action repertoire. Happiness is a result, part of a development. Hypnosis is a
nice way to help people find their way to it.

caractéristique malléable (« nature »or « nurture »).
monde.

1st International Conference on Hypnosis in
Medicine. Hungary. Budapest. 28 August – 1 september http://www.ichm2013.com/
Member of the faculty. Hypnosis training. Workshops on Hypnosis in functional disorders,
pain control. And posttraumatic stress disorders
Hypnosis in functional disorders and psychosomatics. Utilizing
the wisdom of the mind-body and body-mind. Workshop – 2hours
I give an overview of mechanisms and theories to explain the origin and
maintenance of functional disorders: mind-body interaction, self-regulatory
model of illness and bio-psycho-social models.
How to communicate with those patients? How to motivate them for
psychological intervention?
Experiential exercises with hypnosis help to get insight in mind-body
interactions and motivating for the application of hypnosis in their treatment.
With hypnosis patients discover how to mobilize recovery processes and help
control their symptoms as pain, digestive problems, motor function.
Exploratory methods as communication with symptoms, symbolization,
somatic bridge, reification of the problem, ideomotor questioning make in-depth
exploration, learning about the origin or meaning of some disorders possible in
a safe and creative way.
With hypnosis vicious circles where clients have be trapped, sometimes
for years can be interrupted to progressively recover health and functioning.
We also review treatment protocols applied in IBS (irritable bowel
syndrome), an evidence based method to work with hypnosis with children and
adults, and give some possible approaches for asthma, migraine and bruxism.
Introduction in hypnosis in medical settings.
Lecture/workshop 1 hour
There are many definitions or concepts of hypnosis and even more
misconceptions. I will give you some commonly accepted definitions of hypnosis
from different viewpoints or traditions. As neuroscientists working with brain
imaging and neurophysiology research are actively doing research in the field, I
make an overview of some of the working mechanisms which have been proposed or
discovered so far. There are some convincing research findings to mention. You
learn about some of the useful and typical hypnotic phenomena to demonstrate and
answer questions of many patients and new bees asking what makes the difference
between hypnosis and meditation or mindfulness. You hear about related
applications of ‘hypnotic communication’, ‘self-hypnosis’ and ‘indirect
hypnosis’.
In this presentation I give an overview of some common indications of
hypnosis in medical settings as for pain control (acute, procedural and
chronic), irritable bowel syndrome, oncology, asthma, hypertension, functional
disorders, obstetrics, stress. In the search for evidence based medicine I give
an overview of some studies.
I can share some of my experience in teaching medical students the
basics of hypnosis and teaching hypnotic communication in teams of nurses.
In the section on hypnosis in the world I will review which
international professional organizations are active in the field, which journals
are published and which congresses are regularly organized.
Hypnosis in pregnancy and delivery: an easy going method to
facilitate birth. Workshop.
In this workshop I review some clinical cases of women looking for help
from hypnosis to facilitate labor and childbirth. Some women had a rather
traumatic or negative experience in the past and hope to have a more easy going
next delivery. Other women or couples prefer more natural methods for pain
control and succeed in using hypnosis as the sole anesthetic, or combined with
local anesthesia or epidural anesthesia.
I review some of the published literature, some advantages of working
with and learning hypnosis in pregnancy and for delivery – pain control, anxiety
management, increased trust and self-confidence, fostering cooperation between
baby/newborn and mother and feeling positively prepared.
Women get some psycho-education on natural development of pregnancy and
phases in the delivery. They become familiar with different hypnotic induction
and deepening procedures, they practice as homework to easily access the state
of hypnosis. Suggestions about trusting the body and natural processes during
pregnancy and delivery are interwoven. They learn some pain control methods and
how to make some zones of the body analgesic. Specific imagery is developed for
different phases of the delivery. In a pseudo-orientation to the future they
imagine how to react, behave from the first contractions through the whole
delivery process. With hypnosis women and couples experience more pleasure in
preparing for this important event, labor time is shortened and there is more
comfort and joy.
