Keynote : Neurohypnosis or hypnopsychotherapy? Some neuroscience data of psychotherapy, matching with clinical experience demonstrate which processes are required for resolving issues which impair quality of life. ‘Brain-wise’ therapists mobilize these processes. Creating rapport in hypnosis, particularly mobilizes the social engagement system or ventral vagus system, promoting safety and calmness: a prerequisite to face difficult life issues. Symptoms are considered as the best way one had to deal with issues when they arose. Clients learn from their symptoms and are assisted in hypnosis to explore them. Psychotherapy with hypnosis where intensive mind/body interaction is activated facilitates the processes of lasting changes.
